Found a Pet?
Contact the Humane Society if you have found a stray cat or dog, or if you have seen a stray pet out roaming. We will catalog the information and try to match it with other lost & found reports. There is no county-wide animal control service for strays, so if you live outside city limits, your only option is to take the animal to a shelter yourself. Please call or e-mail us to make sure we're able to accept new intakes before making the journey to drop off an animal. Animals are only accepted during open hours. If the animal is vicious, injured, sick, or has bitten someone call law enforcement. If it's possible for you to care for the stray, please give us a call or fill out the "Found Pet" form below so that we can help find the animals' owner. It would be most helpful if you could include a photo. The form allows for a file download so that you can include a picture of the pet.
